Soon: Fabienne Monique, a true story?

Favourite Well-Known People

These are my personal eh.. friends(?) from showbizz and other creative professions.
I think you can judge someone pretty well by his/her taste, so here's a list of my good bad taste in well-known people. I will link the celebs to the best sites I can find about them, if there are any. These humans somehow are not capable of annoying me. Just like 'em very much. The list displays a never ending process of preferences changing almost daily here. I have put them here in alphabetical order of first names. Most names contain 2 links: one under each forename and one under each last name.

The Quotes I Like Most

A dirty mind is a joy forever..
My favourite movies
My 20 favourite movies of all time. I think you should see them if you haven't already,
in fact, they should be seen by everyone at least once, because really, they are not only
extremely educational, you just haven't lived your life right if you didn't see these yet!
ALSO CHECK XIBO'S FAVS (I agree with his taste)
For now here's My Kino Top 20

Grosse Pointe Blank 1997, directed by George Armitage
Cast: John Cusack, Minnie Driver, Dan Aykroyd, Jeremy Piven, Joan Cusack (John's sister, yes), Alan Arkin, Steve Pink
Screenplay: John Cusack(!), D.V. DeVincentis, Tom Jankiewicz, Steve Pink
Pretty much THE movie of MY generation. read the script here
I'm only 3 months older than John (Cusack) so I was not surprised.

The Insider 1999: Michael Mann, Eric Roth
great in it: Russell Crowe, Al Pacino, Christopher Plummer, the whole lot actually. Stunning tense worrying reality-based material, concerning us all these days. Wish I could see a movie like this everyday!

American Beauty 1999: Sam Mendes, Alan Ball, Conrad Hall
perfect in it: Kevin Spacey, Wes Bentley, Thora Birch, Mena Suvari, the whole lot actually. This one deserves a Millennial award. I've never seen so much well observed dialog put in one movie. This one makes you think. Wish I could see a movie like this everyday!

    After Hours 1987: Q
great in it: Griffin Dunne, Rosanna Arquette, everybody else

The Usual Suspects 1995: Bryan Singer, Christopher McQuarrie
great in it: Kevin Spacey, Stephen Baldwin

Boxing Helena 1993: Jennifer Chambers Lynch
great in it: Sherilyn Fenn, Julian Sands, Bill Paxton, everybody else
the original Clannad-like (but much better) music is NOT mentioned in the credits!!! Can I get it on CD? Tell me!

    Escape from Alcatraz 1978:
great in it: Clint Eastwood and everybody else for that matter, timeless suspense! Must have seen it about 20 times already, and still see new things in it.

    Heat 1996: Michael Mann
great in it: Robert De Niro, Val Kilmer, Al Pacino, Michael Cheritto and everybody else for that matter.

12 Monkeys 1995: Terry Gilliam, David Peoples
amazing food for thought, great in it: Brucey, Madeleine Stowe, Brad

Welcome to the Dolhouse 1995: Todd Solondz
great in it: Heather Matarazzo, Matthew Faber, Eric Mabius and all the rest

    Out of bounds 1987:
great in it: Jennifer Wright, Michael Anthony Hall, everybody else
one of those movies that radiates warmth - I have a weakness for those summery stories

    Can't Buy Me Love 1987: *
great in it: Amanda Peterson, Patrick Dempsey
Again, one of those movies that radiates warmth - I have a weakness for those summery stories of love. One of the funniest serious high-school movies ever, great natural acting, nice character exaggerations, awsome casting job!

    The Couch Trip 198*: *
great in it: x, x, x, x and everybody else for that matter
again, whoever casted this movie deserves an award for it.

The Deal Of The Century 1988:
great in it: Chevy Chase, Gregory Hines, everybody else

Bottle Rocket 1996: Wes Anderson, Owen C. Wilson
great in it: Inez, Owen C. Wilson, Luke Wilson, James Caan, and the rest

    The Chase 1994: Adam Rifkin
great in it: Kristy Swanson, Charlie Sheen, Henry Rollins, Leland Palmer

    Trust 1990: Hal Hartley
great in it: Martin Donovan, everybody else, I couldn't really decide what movie by Hartley I like most. Desire is also recommendable, especially the dialog in it.

Heavy Metal 1981: Gerald Potterton, Ivan Reitman
great music (not the metal in particular) and sheer art in animation (you won't believe it's from 1981!)

    Stealing Beauty 1995: Bernardo Bertolucci
great in it: Liv, Donald McCann, Jeremy Irons etc. Once again, a movie so beautifully done, one shouldn't miss it

All of the above are available on video now, so go out and get them or watch out for them on TV. You must NOT miss these! By the way, if anything I see comes along that beats one of these, I'll replace one of course, so, this chart is never final...
