Just type "$" after your prompt in a DOS screen or fully maximized
(Alt-Enter-)DOS-Window and press enter to check out this program..

You can put "$" in your autoexec.bat, or, when you're working in DOS
via Windows, run it before WP or some other DOS-platform on screen,
and you will have a new interesting (easier-to-read) DOS-ROM-font!

$.EXE replaces your DOS ROM-VGA-font. Thus it USES NO EXTRA MEMORY!
It's no TSR, it only replaces the 4096-bytes font-table in BIOS.

Especially those still working in DOS, WP-users and data-typists
will be thankful for this replacement! It's a lot more legible
and much more distinct and articulate than the plain old DOS-type.
Serifs are put in only when it would improve readability (in our
opinion). Less mistakes, no more 'which character is what?'-crap.
No time to-get-used-to is needed. Clarity and speed above all!

>> If you run $.exe in a batch program (autoexec or something)
and you don't like to see the colored yell of this utility,
simply put " jt" after the $-command, this parameter will
run $.exe in invisible 'silent' mode.
THE SILENT BATCH-COMMAND IS: $ JT

>> After every graphic mode or hard clear-screen
the old ROM-font will be loaded again, and this font
will be gone. Run $ again afterwards if you want it back.

We encourage you to copy this software, but try
to always include this textfile with the executable!
