BACKGROUND INFO:
This 1980 pressing is one of JT's all-time-favorite vinyl tracks EVER released! Angel Face has never been more than a cult hit, and if you don't know it, shame on you. Many club, dance and electro music seems to have been inspired by it. This is alternative dark mysterious disco with somewhat freaky sensual lyrics. Mix and production are sheer perfection for the genre (if it even fits one). Vocals for example have been nicely tucked away by the coolest of stereo rhythm synths (WAY ahead of its time!). It has a lot of fascinating (deliberately sloppy at times) noises added to it, and the RCA-vinyl is of extreme high quality (the length of the track is spread over maximum groove-width, and at 45 RPM!). Frequency response spectrum is exceptionally flat and reaches up to 26000 Hz! We had to sample it at 44.1 kHz though.
Try this beauty on headphones in the dark...
Top-voted track on this page off and on througout the year 2000 and 2001 so far.

Smooth jazzy soulful production by Tony Baron and Brigitte Hoton. Mixed extremely well by Marc Neuttiens at studio FASHION Brussels, with "SONY" Digital reverberation unit for NUNK MASTERMIX PRODUCTIONS as it says on the sleeve. Sax is played by
Pectro "Italian Lover" Lacirignola, and backing vocals were by the WAKKO FAMILY.

This is how we party :
For this purpose we have a special bypass-connection in 1 of our studios, using a dedicated luxman RIAA amp ( MM SN-ratio 92dB, response 10Hz~22kHz within 0.4 dB, THD 0.01 % ) to achieve the highest possible quality without any loss or additional noise or hum. A fresh Nagaoka needle is used on our best record-player, with 2grams needlepressure on cleaned vinyl (although most vinyl-damage can't be undone...) Pure vinyl audio then goes to the analog inputs on a Gina24, and after checking and normalizing the WAV, it's being encoded using L.A.M.E. to a High Quality VBR MPEG Layer 3 audiofile. In case ticks from the vinyl are really too heavy we might repair the wav-file a little first, but we like to keep it as original a copy as possible, including drop-outs and other sounds that weren't supposed to be there.
